Misty Rose is a one and half year old affenpinscher girl. She is one the happiest dogs her foster mom has ever been around and so very grateful to have been rescued from the animal shelter in Southern California where she was discovered. She has a very sweet loving nature, and continuously wags her undocked affenpinscher tail…. non-stop!
Misty Rose weighs 10 pounds but she is very thin and needs to gain a couple of pounds. She has a good appetite so she should fill out quickly to around 12 – 13 pounds. Misty has the typical affen under bite, but her teeth do not show - most of the time. One of her favorite things to do is to snuggle on a warm lap and be loved, and she actively seeks one out. She is alert, but very friendly to everyone she meets. She has gotten along extremely well with the 3 other dogs in her foster home, content to be a follower. She has bonded very quickly to her foster mom and follows her everywhere too! She likes to explore with the other dogs in the large yard, but chooses to keep “mom” in sight. She has shown no aggression to, or interest in, the cats in the home.
Misty Rose has recently been spayed, and she is up to date on her vaccinations. She has been micro-chipped also. Misty Rose seems to be fully housetrained and has never had an accident in her foster home. If taken out regularly and asked to “potty”, she will usually do so! Misty sleeps in a crate in her foster parent’s bedroom at night without making a peep. She will walk on the leash very well, but could use more training and exposure to the great big world out there.
All Misty Rose wants is to be with you! She will follow you anywhere and everywhere with a wagging tail and a happy heart.
Misty has been adopted!! Her proud new adoptive parents are pictured with her above.
